Hello. My name is Robyn Avery and this is my seventeenth year at Masonboro Elementary as the music teacher.

I am married and have three children.

My background in music begins when I was in kindergarten. I started singing in our school choir and then became a very active member of both the children and adult choir at my church. This is where I first began singing as a soloist. When I entered fourth grade, I began to play the trumpet in our school's band program. I continued to play trumpet and sing in the choir through college. I attended the University of North Carolina Pembroke where I received my BA in Music Education, K-12, Vocal and Instrumental Studies. Music has allowed me to travel and perform all over Europe and in many places here in the United States including Disneyland, Disney World, and New York City for the ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the revival of The Music Man on Broadway. I graduated with my Master of School Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in May 2017.
