About Me

This is the start of my eighth year serving as the School Library Media Coordinator at College Park Elementary.  My path to  the school library is a little different than most. I earned my B.S. degree in Meteorology from N.C. State (Go Pack!).  I worked as a meteorologist for a number of years in Raleigh and Wilmington. I volunteered in public schools and found I loved the library. I returned to school and obtained by MLS degree in Library Science from East Carolina University. I am so happy to be working with all the students at College Park. Whether it is teaching classes or helping them find a great book to read, I strive to make the media center a place where everyone feels welcome and is encouraged to be the best that they can be.
