Parent Resources

NHCS has a well established and respected AIG program. Our district recognizes the importance of gifted education and employs an AIG-Licensed educator as a supervisor to guide and monitor the AIG program and plan.  In addition NHCS employs a full time gifted education specialist at each school; with a half time position at each traditional high school. AIG  Specialists employed by NHCS must be AIG certified according to NCDPI requirements.

Notice:
Rising 9th grade AIG transition parent meeting schedule is below.

Two (2) district wide student/ parent meetings to inform 8th grade AIG students and parents about the high school AIG program. Students and parents may attend one of the two sessions. Both sessions will be the exact same presentation. An information sheet for the 8th grade parents will also be sent home.
