Glass Cage

If silence is golden

Then why do I feel

Like a nightingale 

In a glass cage 

Whom no one can hear?

Children laughing

Telling stories

Words the key to a friend

And the teacher?

Without words

Not an ear can she lend.

Looking out from inside

My only voice the tears that I cry

So envious...

they belong to this land

When will I?
