I have been a teacher of English as a Second Language in New Hanover County Schools since 2004.
I began working as a translator and teaching English in 1986 while studying at the University of Pisa, Italy where I completed a Masters Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures in 1992. In 1993 I obtained the Cambridge Royal Society of the Arts Certificate in the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language to Adults at the British Council of Milan.
In 2002 I returned to my hometown of Wilmington, enrolled in UNCW, and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Education. Since my passion is teaching and learning foreign languages, I immediately added ESL to my certification from NCSU.
In my free time I play tennis every chance I get and I love cooking for my 2 sons. I love animals so I have three cats, a dog (labrador retriever), as well as the occasional foster cat!
