Welcome to Ms. Kelly's webpage!

Hello and welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am excited to be the Media Coordinator again this year. My main goal is to instill a love of reading in every student. 

A little bit about my teaching background... I have been teaching at Blair since completing my internship here in 2009, and there is no where else I would rather be! I have held various positions at Blair, from Special Education to General Education, and I have taught students in Kindergarten-5th grade. I received my undergraduate degree from UNCW in 2009, and obtained a Master's of Education in Language and Literacy in 2014. I am currently seeking my Masters in Library Science degree from East Carolina University.

A little bit about me... I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, and I moved to Wilmington in 2005 to attend UNCW. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, traveling, cooking, exercising, gardening, live music, being outside, and spending time with my family and friends. I am passionate about literacy, the environment, animals, traveling, and learning about and experiencing other cultures. 

In my classroom, I believe that all children can be successful. I believe in creating a positive learning environment that promotes respect and kindness for all people. I am excited for all of the learning and growing that we will do together this year!
