About Me

Hello! I am starting my seventh year as part of the Hoggard High School family!

I am originally from Mt. Airy, NC, but spent many summers growing up along the coast and visiting Wilmington. Teaching is my passion, and I couldn't decide between science and English so I opted to get certified in both areas. I have always loved reading and writing so teaching English was an easy choice. After my 9th grade Earth Science class I was hooked on Science and knew I wanted to do something in that field as well. I attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington and majored in both English and Geoscience. I am certified to teach both English and Science at the Middle and High School levels.

I cannot wait to get to know every one of my students and I think that this is going to be a wonderful year!
