ABOUT THE TEACHER:
I am Ms. Lindsay Noble. This is my 26th year as an educator. Originally from Tennessee, I graduated from the University of Tennessee with an undergraduate degree in History and a Masters in Secondary Education. This is my 12th year as a Hoggard Viking 🙌. I became a teacher because of my love of history which has now pivoted to economics and personal finance. I also teach 10th grade STAE. I really enjoy helping students along the way of their personal growth journey into adulthood.
In my non-teaching life I enjoy spending time with my 11 year old daughter and my fur children (Virgil and Jack). I love walking/hiking, gardening, playing sports, cards/games, traveling, listening to live musing and cheering on Tennessee (Go Vols!).

*Students who arrive after 8:35 will be required to report to the office to sign in.
Phone Policy: Devices must be off and out of sight during class unless a teacher explicitly authorizes their use for an academic purpose.
Academic Integrity: Any student who engages in or attempts to engage in cheating, plagiarism, or falsification shall be subject to disciplinary action. The following actions are specifically prohibited: cheating, plagiarism, falsification, and collusion. The teacher will talk to the student about the violation and coach the appropriate student behavior or action. The teacher will call the parent or guardian to discuss the incident. The teacher will write a discipline referral documenting the incident. The administrator will notify any extracurricular organizations of which the student is a member; the organizations will take action in accordance with their by-laws or codes of conduct. The student must re-submit the assignment for a highest potential grade of 50%. The student will be subject to consequence based on the severity (mitigating v. aggravating) of the action.
Flex:
Mondays and Fridays between 1st and 2nd periods. (See bell schedules link above) It should be utilized for make-up work, quiz corrections and/or study hall.

Overall grades are calculated as such: 1st 9 weeks: 40%; 2nd 9 weeks: 40%; teacher-made final assessment: 20%
