About Me

Welcome!

My name is Amy Butner.  I am so excited to be working in 5th grade again this year, teaching ELA and Social Studies!  I have taught almost every grade from Pre-K to sixth grade. This is is my 14th year at Anderson.

I am originally from Oxford, Ohio and graduated from Miami University (Ohio) with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  After graduating, I moved to Wilmington with my husband Matt.  We have three children, all boys, who keep us very busy.   We love to spend time together traveling, going to the beach, hiking, kayaking, playing with our fur-babies (two cats and two dogs), watching football and watching movies.

Some of my favorite hobbies are reading, running/working out, traveling, spending time at the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
