Peek at the Week!
Reading-We will work on contraction words this week. We will continue working on END OF YEAR reading assessments. We are focusing on answering written comprehension questions, cause and effect, problem and solution, and retelling using details from the text. We are also focusing on decoding and looking for chunks we know to solve unknown words when reading. Daily 5 stations are read to self, read to someone, word work, work on writing, and listen to reading.
Writing- We will write to inform our reader about Memorial Day. I can demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English-capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing. We will use circle maps, tree maps, and bubble maps, and flow maps to organize our writing.
Math- We will review math skills from the year and solve word problems.
Social Studies/Science- We will learn about Memorial Day!
