I am so happy to be here for my 21st(!) year at Eaton and to be in the Media Center for the 8th year! I have taught 5th, 2nd, and 3rd grade throughout my 24 years of teaching. I am a Wilmington native and can't imagine a better place to live. I graduated from Meredith College with a BS in Child Development and K-6 Licensure. I completed my Master of Library Science at Appalachian State University in August of 2017. In 2024, I earned my National Board Certification in Library Media. I love to spend time with my family, especially my 2 amazing nephews. Outside of school, I am an active member of my church and I work with the children's ministry. I am excited to see what this year holds as I continue on adventures as a librarian!
This summer I had the amazing experience of participating in a 3 day professional development at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. It was a librarian's dream to spend time at the largest library in the world learning in a group of 30 teachers from all over the United States!
