My name is pronounced (suh-jay-zee) and I am a 3rd generation educator. I received my Education degree from the University of Delaware then moved to San Diego where I helped start a charter school. After 5 years, my wife and I decided to move back east. We have lived in Wilmington for 20 years and this is my 15th year at Lake Forest Academy. I have been voted Teacher of the Year at both schools I have worked at. I believe in inquiry-based education where I guide students towards constructing their own knowledge. We have been very lucky here at LFA to receive money for extra technology and resources. I look forward to using them to benefit your child.
I have a 16 year old daughter who is stricken with epilepsy. She has seizures on a daily basis and is globally delayed. I don’t anticipate missing much school to deal with her health, but she does have frequent doctor and therapeutic appointments. I will try my best to keep you updated on my absences, but rest assured that the staff I work with is more than able to cover for me when needed.
