Hi! My name is Marissa Rizzo and I have been teaching for 24 years.  I graduated from Bowling Green State University (Ohio) with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  Most of my family resides in Ohio, but I moved to beautiful Wilmington, North Carolina in 2003.  

I have an amazing husband named David and three beautiful children.  Julianna is 19, Lucy is 16, and Rocco is 9.   I also have a two fur sons; Woody and Snoop. These dogs keep us all on our toes!

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading and exercising.  I am so excited to start another year at Masonboro Elementary!
