Bonjour! My name is Marie-Pierre Field or Madame Field and I am very happy to teach French to your children. I would like to begin by telling you a bit about myself. I am a French native and was raised in both France and Africa (Cote d’Ivoire). After my baccalaureate (High School Diploma) I then decided to learn English and moved to Florida where I obtained a BA in Communications. There I met my husband and twenty-five years later I am now and American citizen! I then obtained a MA in International Studies in Virginia. I started teaching French to adults at the French Alliance in Washington DC, then the Special Operations Marines at Camp Lejeune. I also taught very young children at the Children Museum in Wilmington. I have been teaching French at Hoggard for 5 years now. I have 4 bilingual children 2 boys and 2 girls.
I am delighted to share my passion of the French language and culture with your children. My hobbies are travelling, international cooking, reading, and the arts.
Please stress the importance of daily study so that your child will become proficient in French. You can help by providing him/her with an environment in which he/she can practice.
Merci!
