Trick Words

Here are some fun ideas for at home trick word practice:

-Flash cards

-Writing them with sidewalk chalk

-Typing them on the computer

-Rainbow writing them with different color markers, crayons, pencils, etc.

-Using play-doh or string to make the words

-Sight word hide and seek: Post the word in different parts of the house and have your child try to find that word and bring it to you.

-Sight word hunt: Look for the words in books or magazines

-Use old magazine to cut and spell the words

-Sight word tic-tac-toe: create your own tic-tac-toe board and have your child read the word before they put an X or O on it.

-Sight word cheers or chants: Create your own chant or cheer to help your child spell the word
