Grading Policy

I grade on a mastery based grading structure. Each week students will take an assessment that will include new content from that week and will include previous content from within the unit. There will be a breakdown of the skills on the assessment with the percentage correct of each skill and an overall score. The overall score will not be added to Powerschool, the individual skill scores will be input to Powerschool. If you have not done well on a skill, you will see questions on that skill on the next assessment. I will replace your score for that skill with your better score, showing your mastery for that skill. It also allows you to see the content more frequently and thus understanding the content better.

Homework/Classwork Policy:

All work is due in class the same day or the next day. If a student is absent they have the same amount of days to make-up the work and turn it in.  It is the students responsibility to get all absent work, there is a crate in the front of the room with the work missed. I reserve the right to make modifications and/or changes to this policy at anytime based on the needs of the class, type of work missed, and student.

Late Work

By progress reports or report cards all classwork should be turned in, or will receive a 0%. For projects that are later than 2 weeks will only receive up to 60%. All work that is not tuned in by the end of the marking period will receive a zero.
