My name is Jessica McQueen and I’m a Wilmington native! I graduated from UNC-Greensboro but then moved right back to the beach. My husband, John, and I have been married for 14 years and we just adopted our
sweet retriever mix, Winnie, in March.
When I’m not at school, you can
find me hanging out with them!
I grew up wanting to be a teacher, it’s in my genes. My grandmother, mother, aunts, cousins, and even my stepmother have all dedicated their careers to the field of education. I was an assistant for 3 years before I taught in the exceptional children program for one year. This year will be my 12th year in room 126 at Winter Park with my amazing sidekick, Mrs. Hurley. We love teaching kindergarten!
