Meet the Teacher

    I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself! My name is Jamie Dodson and I was born and raised right here in Wilmington, where I also attended Blair as a student! :) I graduated from UNCW in 2015 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I started my career at Blair as a Title I tutor (grades 3-5) and a long term sub in fifth grade. I then taught first grade, fifth grade, and now third grade! 

    Education is my passion and I'm always looking for new and exciting ideas to spread my love of learning to my students. I strive to create a positive classroom community, where scholars are supported and empowered. 

    Outside of school, I love spending time with my family! I'm married to my husband, Wes, and we have two amazing kids! Cameron is our wild and hilarious six year old and Parker is our sweet and fiery three year old! I love reading, DIY projects, HGTV, and being outdoors.
