About Me

Hello everyone,

I am Mrs. Myers. I have been teaching science, specifically biology, physical science and earth environmental, for 20 years. I was born and raised in West Virginia in a small town along the Ohio River called Moundsville. My family still resides there and I return as often as possible to enjoy the mountains and scenic views.

Following graduation from high school I attended college at Anderson University in Anderson, IN where I earned my bachelor's degree in biology. I then went on to attend Ball State University in Muncie, IN for graduate school, earning my Master's in Secondary Science Education. I spent a year in Anderson, IN substitute teaching full time before moving to southern Indiana to a small town, again along the Ohio River, called Madison where I taught biology, physical science and AVID for 6 years.

Currently, I work and live in Wilmington, NC, where I have been for the last 14 years. I love to read, go to the beach and travel. I have visited almost half of the lower 48 states and have traveled to Japan and Australia. In my spare time I also enjoy crafting and baking. Education is very important to me and doesn't only occur within the confines of the classroom. I believe we must learn from all aspects of our lives and situations and people.

Helping you get your education is of great importance to me as well. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I want to be able to help you in any way possible.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Myers :)
