I was born into a musical family in Tannersville, Pennsylvania. I began my musical studies with piano lessons at the age of six although singing was always my passion. At age twelve I was encouraged to take voice lessons by my choral director and I was immediately hooked. In 2002 I received my Bachelor of Music from Temple University.
This year marks my fourteenth year at Bellamy and my twenty-third year teaching music in North Carolina where I have taught grades K-8 general and choral music. In addition to teaching music in public schools I have almost twenty years teaching piano and voice lessons to students ages five through adult. I am so fortunate to share my love of music with so many.
When I am not teaching music you can find me chasing my children, my daughter Eleanor, my son Fletcher, and two spoiled dogs Sally and Lucy.
