I'd like to take a minute to introduce myself.  I grew up in New Jersey and attended college in Massachusetts at Boston University.  I worked for several years in mental health and then returned to school for a Master's degree in Education at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.  I then began my career in education teaching 6th grade.  I taught in a suburb of Boston for 5 years before having my own children in 1999 and 2000.  I was then blessed to stay home with my girls Ryleigh and Amanda and work part time in education.  As a mom, I worked for the Boston Globe Newspapers in Education department, did some private tutoring and worked for an Early Intervention Home Based Treatment program for young children with Autism.

In 2005, my family left the North East for the beauty of Wilmington.  At this time I also returned to full time teaching and took a position as the interim AIG teacher at Parsley Elementary.  I was then lucky to join the Anderson staff its first year opening and have taught 4th grade, 5th grade, and AIG.

My older daughter Ryleigh lives in Asheville and is working as a Vet Assistant while she attends school to be a Vet Tech. My younger daughter Amanda lives in Chicago and is teaching Violin and Ukulele.  I currently don't have any pets, but love my grandpets seen below.

I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and exercising and I'm looking forward to a great year with all of you!
