About Me

I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and have lived in 5 states including Maryland, Ohio, Indiana, and North Carolina.  I taught First Grade in Ohio before moving to Wilmington 19 years ago and have taught First, Second, Third, and Fourth grades in the New Hanover County Schools, but I am so excited to teach 5th Grade again this year, and I especially love teaching Math and Science!

I have 2 sons, Jack and Tyler, and 2 dogs, Milo and Rosco. Jack graduated from NC State and is a Process Engineer and Tyler will be starting his Senior year at NC State. I enjoy watching them play football, basketball, soccer, and swim.  I love playing tennis, golf and snow skiing.  My favorite football team is The Pittsburgh Steelers, I love Sundays in the fall watching the game!  I enjoy spending time with friends and family at the beach and hanging out in my backyard.  My favorite movie is Grease and I love the band U2!

My goal for this year.....inspire my students to become life long learners and create a wonderful learning community in my classroom!
