Welcome to what looks to be another great school year!

I am so excited to join the Bellamy Family this year!   

My career has been quite the adventure and I'm looking forward to growing with our Soaring Eagles!

I am originally from New Jersey and have two children: Chloe, a sophomore at Hoggard High School, and Gavin, who has joined the 3rd grade at Bellamy Elementary as a Soaring Eagle

My career started in the corporate world before changing my path and becoming an educator.  I began as a 3rd grade teacher, then moved into Special Education.  I have a Master’s Degree in Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, both from New Jersey City University. 

When I relocated to Wilmington in 2016,  I joined New Hanover County Schools (NHCS) as an Instructional Coach/MTSS Coordinator adn Testing Coordinator.  I started at Lake Forest Academy then moved to Wrightsville Beach Elementary where I have been for the last 6 years!

This year, i am taking on a new role as Bellamy's Early Literacy Faciliator (ELF).  This grant-funded position has a focus on K-3 Literacy to support our teachers in raising student proficiency in Literacy.  I am very excited to forge ahead with our teachers to ensure our students continue to grow and succeed!

In my free time, I love to go to the beach, read, entertain friends/family as well as play games and do puzzles!
