Hello! My name is Christina Cheers! Let me start out by saying I am SO happy and thankful to be teaching here at Anderson Elementary!

 I am a Wilmington native who graduated from Ashley High School as well as The University of North Carolina at Wilmington! My husband Craig and I have two sons named Merrick and Riggs. Our furriest family member is a yellow lab named Skipper! We enjoy playing and watching baseball, Going out on the boat and hanging at the beach and spending time together! I personally love painting, crafting, reading, sports and watching merrick play baseball! I have been teaching for 14 years. Previously, I taught kindergarten at Forest Hills Elementary as well as first, second and third grades here at Anderson! I have always wanted to be a teacher and my parents love to tell the story of how I asked for an overhead projector when I was in the third grade. haha! Now, as a grown up, I get to live out that wish every day. How lucky am I to consider it work also?! My personal goal every year is to share the love I have for school, with my students. If I can get all my kiddos to love something about learning, I can go home with a smile on my face everyday! Family is super important to me because I wouldn't be where I am today without them.
