About Me

I was born and raised in Wilmington, NC.  I left to attend college at NC State (GO WOLFPACK!) where I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education with a concentration in Science.  After graduating, I taught in Raleigh for 7 years before we decided it was time to come back home to Wilmington.  This will be my 14th year teaching and my 3rd year at Winter Park.

My husband and I have 2  girls, Layla (10) and Reese (7), a golden retriever named Cooper, and a crazy cat named Leo.

My favorite thing about teaching is that no 2 days are alike. I never get bored.  The students always keep it interesting and I LOVE being able to watch them grow throughout the year.  They teach me just as much as I teach them!

In my free time I enjoy baking, crafting, and spending time with family.
