The Mission
The mission of the New Fairfield Public Schools’ Family Resource Center is to provide support to families as they navigate early childhood development.
The Philosophy
The Family Resource Center provides a child-centered opportunity for families to engage with other parents and children from the community, as well as, educational professionals in a supportive informal setting.
Family Resource Center
Primary caretakers are welcome to attend weekly play-based interactive sessions with their children ages 2 ½ years to 5 years old. Developmentally appropriate activities will be available for all to explore as a family. Consolidated pre-school teachers and therapists will be available for guidance and input, as needed. In addition, materials regarding developmental milestones and community resources are available. If families have expressed concerns regarding their child, FRC is a wonderful opportunity to meet staff and discuss your child’s development. However, it is not a time during which evaluations will occur.
