Remember that it is about this time in the teaching cycle that the new teacher may enter disillusionment. This can be a trying time for all of us. Your new teachers may need a check-in from you on a daily basis right now.

- Grades - review what he/she graded in the 1st quarter
- Discuss what changes, if any, he/she may need to consider (selection of items, number of items to grade, weight of items selected)
- Check to see if he/she needs any assistance with the grade book
- Start discussing teacher actions for students not meeting the benchmarks
- Holidays - discuss dates, special schedules, procedures
- Assemblies/Programs
- Veterans Day Assembly - remind them to discuss appropriate behaviors with students
- Music concerts
- Parent Contacts - Discuss the power of parent connections (both positive and tough)
- Discuss inclement weather procedures and schedules
- Discuss Maker Week/ WE Term
- The power of focused/ meaningful learning
- Review Ethical Behavior
