Welcome to Newcastle Elementary School District Board Information and Agendas

Newcastle Elementary School District is a small school district in Northern California, known as the GEM of the foothills, and located on I 8o, Gateway to the Sierra's and beyond. Established in 1865 as a single school district, it has evolved into a district with multiple charter schools while maintaining the original elementary school and small school/district feel. Newcastle Elementary School District boasts of high achievement, wonderful parent and community involvement, and progressive 21st Century thinking. Parents and staff participate in all decisions regarding program development, textbook adoption and budget decisions through a variety of processes including parent meetings, parent education workshops, surveys, and written text/information home (both digital and print). Newcastle Elementary School District believes that every child can succeed and lives its motto of "Celebrating Successes, Teaching the Future" as it keeps its vision and core values at the forefront of all decisions.

The Newcastle Board is comprised of 5 elected members. They have regular Board meetings typically scheduled on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. For the current agenda, click on the tab above.

The Board welcomes and encourages staff and community involvement in all areas of Board business. All meeting agendas are posted. In addition, a Board Policy Committee meets as necessary on the last Thursday of each month to review and make recommendations for revision to current or new Board Policies.
