About me

(I'll keep this short. After all, the focus should be on the students.)

I was born and raised in Washington, D.C. I went to Amherst College, where I majored in History and Russian Studies and played football. I have a Master's degree in Russian Studies from Harvard & a Master's degree in Education from Western Maryland College. I have taught in Indiana, Baltimore, Dorchester, & Brighton. I have coached football in Belmont, Cambridge, Boston, Westwood, Duxbury, and from 2012 to 2014, I was the head coach at Dover-Sherborn. I have been teaching at Needham High since 2014. Teaching for me isn't a job; it's a passion. In addition, I love reading, eating, traveling, art history, chess, & my family. My wife and I have three young kids. (Here are our kids enjoying ice cream in Paris -- our big trip in the summer of 2014.)
