About Me:

My name is Niklas Ratzlaff (Mr. Nik), and I am the Facilitator for 6^th, 7^th, & 8th grade science, LGBTQ Studies, and Intro to German. I am beyond ecstatic to be returning for the 2018-2019 school year. After completing graduate school at CSU, Fresno in 2015, I decided to move to Oakland to further my opportunities for my career in education.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine since I was very young. I believe that through education we can create a more equal and inclusive society, which builds a better community. Moreover, I have decided to enter the field of education in order to spread knowledge and make an impact on the peoples’ lives in which I come into contact.

During my free time, I enjoy partaking in various activities. I am a runner, and you just might catch me running around Lake Merritt in Oakland. I also enjoy traveling, hiking/ backpacking, reading, and so much more.
