2021 NCACAA State Meeting
June 15-17, 2021
Hosted by the NCACAA North Central District
The 2021 North Carolina Association of County Agricultural Agents Annual Meeting and Professional Improvement Conference will be held June 15-17 virtually via Zoom. While the North Central District membership had hoped to be "Together Again" at this year's State Meeting, the decision was ultimately made to host it in a virtual environment. Although participants will not have the chance to visit Durham in-person this year, the North Central District has organized a virtual meeting that will be both enjoyable and educational, while highlighting the variety of agricultural operations located throughout the Northern Piedmont portion of our state. The year, a couple of additional options will be available for our youth and life members.
On Monday, June 14, there will be an opportunity for families to visit the NC Zoo in Asheboro. Life Members will then have the chance to participate in a "Health Benefits Update" session on Tuesday, June 15. The NCACAA State Board will meet on Tuesday, June 15 as well, followed by a session related to "Broadband Issues in Rural Communities." The day will conclude with a fun-filled Virtual Social Hour and an opportunity to compete for cash prizes. The conference will officially begin with Wednesday morning's Opening Session, where numerous award winners from across the state will be recognized for their accomplishments. Following the opening session, several professional development sessions will be offered throughout Wednesday afternoon. Thursday morning will begin with our Annual Business Meeting, followed by a Virtual Trade Show highlighting our meeting sponsors. Following lunch, Thursday afternoon will offer more opportunities to attend a variety of professional improvement tours before the meeting officially concludes. For those who would like to participate in a fun post-conference activity on Friday, June 18, there will be a golf outing offered at Eagle Ridge Country Club in Raleigh.
