The 2020 North Carolina Association of County Agricultural Agents Annual Meeting and Professional Improvement Conference will be held August 17-19 virtually via Zoom. The West District membership has worked diligently to transition from an in-person meeting to a virtual environment. Although our members will not have the chance to visit Asheville in-person this year, the West District has organized a virtual meeting that will be both enjoyable and educational while highlighting the variety of agricultural operations located throughout the Western portion of our state. The NCACAA State Board meeting will be held on Monday, August 17. The conference will officially begin with Tuesday’s Opening Session, where numerous award winners from across the state will be recognized for their accomplishments. Following the opening session, professional development sessions will be offered Tuesday afternoon, as well as a virtual social hour Tuesday evening. Wednesday will start with a Virtual Trade Show highlighting our meeting sponsors, prior to our Annual Business Meeting that morning. Following a break for lunch, Wednesday will offer more opportunities to attend a variety of professional development sessions. In addition to virtual sessions, attendees will have an opportunity to view several pre-recorded professional improvement tours of local agricultural operations throughout the West District.
