High school seniors or college students may apply. College students must submit proof of completing one successful semester of coursework along with their application to be eligible. Once becoming a finalist, applicants must supply their college financial office's mailing information and a head-shot picture. These scholarships will be mailed to their college of attendance by the Extension Foundation.

Recipient can be of any major with no preference given.
Recipient can attend any 2 or 4-year college or university in or out of North Carolina. Preference is given to those pursuing bachelor’s degrees that have not received this scholarship previously, but those pursuing graduate and professional degrees (example: Doctors and lawyers) may apply.
Selection committee will use information on the scholarship application to select recipient. Examples: leadership activities, community service, grade average, narrative of field of study, etc.

Applications and documents must be submitted one-sided without staples or paperclips (any transcripts or reference letters should be taken out of sealed envelopes and staples removed). Please do not send applications and documents by more than one method (for example, do not send through email and then put in the mail.) Only one is needed and all other copies will just be thrown in the trash.
The scholarship winners only (not the member or life member) are eligible for their registration fee to be waived to attend the entire NCACAA State meeting if they should so choose. They may attend the banquet only if they prefer. Hotel fees are not included, so they are the responsibility of the winner, should they choose to stay overnight. All award winners will be honored at the banquet with their biography read aloud to the membership and their picture taken with administration.
All applications must be submitted or postmarked by April 1 via email to: cari_rosenbalm@ncsu.edu, fax to: 828-632-7533 or hardcopy to:
