2018 - 2019 Committee Reports

Sustainable Ag - Debbie Roos - Encourage SARE Fellow applications which are due March 15.

Ag Issues & Public Relations - Paul McKenzie - Outstanding Young Farmers and Ranchers Award is coming up in August. He will send email inviting nominations, work is in progress for a state nomination process.

Early Career Development - Danny Lauderdale - Six slots have been filled for NACAA meeting support thanks to Dr. Tom Melton. If you are a first timer interested in attending this

year, see Danny after the meeting. First timers have a reduced registration fee and special events at the meeting.

Teaching & Educational Technology - Vacant position needs to be filled

4-H & Youth - Andy Burlingham - Committee will be added in to Professional Excellence but will still exist.

Communications - Allison Brown - congratulations to those award winners.

Recognition & Awards - Kathryn Holmes - Two Young Agent award winners, 5 AAs, 4 DSAs (5 are allowed). Kathryn added there were a lot of Young Agent Award applications and reminded everyone that applications can also be made for AA. No Service to Ag or Hall of Fame applications. Kathryn will not continue to serve next year as chair. Bryant urged the districts to submit recognition applications, which is a strategy used in the Southeast District, and make a goal for one per district.

Search for Excellence - Amy-Lynn Albertson - Three categories had applications.

Life Member - Stacey Jones - Send life member changes to Stacey as she is updating the list with NA CAA.

Benevolence - Joanna Radford - One life member, Richard Freeman, Rockingham County, has passed. Districts must update the list through the district life member/benevolence chair who will update the state chair. A $50 memorial is set for them from NCACAA, and this should be kept up to date.

Internal Communications - Will Strader - Good content on the website is needed from the districts. Internal communications from district ensures this is updated.

Youth Scholarship - Tiffanee Conrad - Nine applications have been received with four selected: Grace Radford, Emily Holmes, Jonathan Smith, and Steven Bradley. The committee will determine if changes to award protocol should be made.

Nominating Committee - Randy Wood - Nomination committee recommends Dalton Dockery, President; Molly Sandfoss, President Elect; Paul McKenzie, Vice-President; Bryant Spivey, Past President; Joanna Radford, Treasurer; and Amanda Hatcher, Secretary. The slate of officers was approved by the membership.
