Training Description

Are you interested in participating in a two-day advanced organic training session led by Jeanine Davis and colleagues from Auburn, Tuskegee, University of Arkansas, and theAlabama Sustainable Agriculture Network? This will be held in the Asheville area on June 17^th and 18^th. We will be starting early on Monday morning, so some of you might want to come in the night before (I know, it’s Father’s Day). We will visit commercial organic farms in the region (large and small ones), have classroom sessions, and a participatoryexercise. We will eat at local restaurants who buy local organic produce and visit some markets. Some of the activities will take place in the evenings. Our grant will cover lodging and per diem (meals). This is an advanced level training, so there will be lots of discussion and problem solving. This training is funded by a Southern SARE PDP grant obtained by Tuskegee University.
