In August 2019, the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) publicly released the State's preliminary results of this past Spring's NJSLA testing. All NBTSchools students who participated in the Spring 2022 NJSLA administration for ELA, math, and science received Individualized Score Reports. Parents/guardians can also utilize our NBTSchools NJSLA Scores FAQs document for additional guidance.
New Jersey's Department of Education revealed that students will receive an overall score (out of a possible 850) and performance level (1-5) for ELA and math, and overall score (out of a possible 300) and performance level (1-4) for Science which will give a glimpse as to whether or not a student is on track with grade-level expectations in English/Language Arts, mathematics, and science. The levels of proficiency are detailed below:
5 - Exceeded expectations
4 - Met expectations
3 - Approached expectations
2 - Partially met expectations
1 - Did not yet meet expectations
