About Mrs. Malloy

Welcome to 6th grade World Geography I! My name is Mrs. Malloy, and I am looking forward to working with you this year, my 25th year at Wilson. I have always enjoyed social studies and have taught this subject for most of my career.

I grew up on Cape Cod, first in Provincetown, first landing spot of the Pilgrims, and then in the Mid-Cape area, where I graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School. From there, I attended Bridgewater State College, where I received my bachelor's degree, and Boston University, where I earned my master's degree.

I am married and have a daughter, Lily, who will be entering the 10th grade at Nipmuc Regional High School in Upton. We also have a yorkiepoo named Brady, after the former QB of the New England Patriots. We live in the town of Mendon, home of Southwick Zoo and the Mendon Drive-In.

My favorite season is summer, mostly because I grew up on the beach and love to be near the ocean any chance I get. I love to read non-fiction books and watch The Patriots, Celtics and Bruins. I love the Red Sox too, but the game of baseball has slowed down so much that I find it difficult to watch.

This past school year was interesting to say the least, as we to continue find ourselves in the middle of a world pandemic. We are literally living through history right now. It will be a somewhat different school year, to be sure, but I know we will navigate through any and all changes together. We've got this!
