In Unit 6 Flight, students will be asked to synthesize and utilize all the skills that they have been taught this year more independently than in the past. For this Unit, students will be completing a number of different projects detailed below.
1. Project A: Students will complete two projects based on their understanding and comprehension of the book Dragonwings by Lauren Yep that we will be listening to and reading aloud in class.
2. Project B: Students will be conducting some research on a famous aviator of their choice in the library and will complete two projects based on the research they complete.
3. Project C: Students will select their own independent reading book (approved by their teacher) of at least 200 pages. They will split the book into 4 sections and complete a project for each section of their book.

Project A:
1. "As We Read" Project: Friday, May 31
2. "When We Finish" Project: Thursday, June 13
Project B:
1. Persuasive Essay and Second Project: Friday, June 6
Project C:
1. Section 1 Reading and Project: Friday, May 24
2. Section 2 Reading and Project: Wednesday, June 5
3. Section 3 Reading and Project: Tuesday, June 11
4. Section 4 Reading and Project: Tuesday, June 18
