Over the past nine years, I have enjoyed getting to know the Natick community in a variety of different roles. This year is my second year as the English Department Head and my second year teaching in the 7th grade. Previously, I taught for seven years on Team Romans in the 6th grade. On top of teaching English, I have coached cross country and basketball in the past, and I have been the Director of Natick Summer Academics for the past four years. I am taking on the role of the administrator of the 6-8 Remote Learning Academy this year as well.

Before Natick, I spent three years teaching in Harlem in New York City. Before New York, I spent a year teaching English as a Second Language in South Korea and traveled extensively around Southeast Asia. Traveling is a passion of mine and I have spent time in Europe, Africa, and Australia, as well. I attended Ithaca College, in upstate New York, for my bachelor's degree, and I received my master's degree from CUNY Hunter College in New York City. I completed an administrative program last year at Curry College.

I grew up in the small town of Hinesburg, Vermont, where I learned to love all sports and took up the drums as my instrument of choice. I currently play in a funk band with friends.

Of course, I love to read and write. I was a Journalism major in college and enjoy sitting down with a good book at all times.

Most importantly, I have an amazing family! My sons are Bryce, who celebrated his fourth birthday on July 7, and Nolan, who turns two in December. Both are constantly on the move and impress me every day with their excitement for life! We've had a lot of fun spending time together this summer. My wife, Abbie, works as a social worker in our hometown of Hopkinton.

I look forward to another great year at Wilson!
