Between the plies, the bonding rubber has a thickness of 1,2 mm instead of 0,8 mm for most belts : this gives extra stability and a better joining
As a Standard, the top covers are according to DIN 22102 type W, this is the most anti-abrassive quality and 50% better that the Y quality, which is used to make belts cheaper (but less anti-abrassive). The type W covers contain more natural rubber than type Y covers and this makes the belts slightly more expensive, but way more anti-abrassive !
