Clues to help Solve Blast Off Breakout
DIRECTIONAL
Players must determine which symbol should replace each of the rockets to make each statement true. They must go in the order of the colored circles at the bottom of the image. The text clue indicates which direction corresponds with each comparison symbol.
TEXT
The text clue indicates that players should only visit the planets that show a number that is greater than 20 but also less than 80. They must start with the planets that are closest to the sun and select the first letter of the planets that meet the requirements.
DIRECTIONAL
The text clue indicates that players must order the stars from least to greatest. Starting at the rocket, players must go up to 17, left to 32, right to 58, up to 74, and left to 90.
COLOR
Players must determine which number correctly completes the comparison statement. Going from left to right, they must choose the color of each corresponding flag.
Clues to Barry's Base Ten Bash
NUMBER
Text clue says: “First, we need to make sure we have enough snacks for our thirty guests. Barry went to the store earlier this week but it doesn't look like he bought enough food. He asked you to go pick up the rest of the food for him before the guests arrive.”
Players will have to read the text clue to know there are 30 guests total. They will need to determine how much extra food they need to buy by subtracting 30 from the numbers on the food items. The banner is a clue that they will look at the color of the plates and those are the items they will use for the combination. The order of the numbers is the order of the colors in the banner.
COLOR
Text clue says: “Barry loves to play games at his parties. He asked you to lead this game but you're not sure what to do. Maybe the guests know?”
Players will need to notice the math problems in the frames behind Barry. They will need to solve the problems and then find the color base ten blocks that represent the sum or difference they found. The order is from left to right for the frames.
DIRECTIONAL
Text clue says: “The pizza has arrived, the delivery man needs help calculating the total. The guests used many strategies including base ten, hundreds grid, place value, a number line, and some even counted in increments, ”
Players will need to identify the different strategies listed in the text clue with the strategies in the movie. They will start at the receipt, the direction they move from one strategy to the next is the direction for the combo.
COLOR
Text clue says: “The GREAT party is about to end and Barry asked you if you could put the goodie bags by each person's coat. Each person gets their own personalized goodie bag so you have to at LEAST make sure they get the right bag.”
Players will have to match the goodie bags to the coats. The text clue indicates they will need to put the sums and differences in order from greatest to least. The color of the coat is the color for the combination.
