About Mrs. McBrearty

McBrearty family

This is a picture from our summer adventure to Walt Disney World! This is one of our favorite places to vacation and the kids were at a great age to enjoy it all!

I have been teaching middle school math for thirteen years now. I have spent ten years teaching seventh grade and three years teaching eighth. I got my undergraduate degree in mathematics with a minor in secondary education from Framingham State College. I have earned my Master's Degree in middle school education from Fitchburg State University. I have a passion for helping kids to understand a difficult subject. My favorite subject in mathematics is algebra though geometry lends itself to a lot of fun, interactive activities.

I live with my husband and three children in Pepperell and enjoy spending as much time with them as I can. My son, Keegan, is nine years old and currently in fourth grade while my daughter, Kadence, is six years old and is in first grade this year. Daniel will be turning three in October and is such a blessing! When I am not teaching and taking classes, I truly enjoy swimming with my family, reading for fun and spending time outdoors.

The best way for us all to be successful is for there to be contact between parents, students and teachers. I would be happy to hear from parents! Please let me know how things are going with your kids, both the successes and the struggles. I am happy to help where I can and to celebrate with you too! I can be reached by email at kmcbrearty@nrsd.net. This is the fastest and easiest way to get a message to me. Otherwise you call the school at 978-365-4558 x 1011.
