Coaches

Coach MaKayla Neuhalfen is in her sixth year as co-head coach. Prior to that, she served as an assistant coach to the Girls' Varsity Team during the 2018-19 season. Coach Neuhalfen played hockey for Minot High School from 2006-2012.  She finished her high school career with 107 goals and 71 assists in 123 total games. She went on to play hockey at Minot State University and graduated with her degree in Elementary Education. She obtained her Masters Degree in Education in 2019 from Minot State. She is a fourth grade teacher at Edison Elementary.

Coach Christopher Stokke is in his sixth year as co-head coach. Coach Stokke played hockey for Shanley High School from 2006-2010.  He was captain and team MVP in 2009 and 2010. He went on to play junior hockey in Maple Grove and Hibbing, MN at the tier 2 and 3 level. Following his time in juniors, he went on to play for Williston State College from 2012-2014. While there, the Tetons were back-to-back NJCAA National Champions. During his time in Williston, he was active in coaching youth sports that included hockey, track and field, and soccer. He graduated from WSC and continued his education at Minot State where he graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. He teaches at Perkett Elementary and is married to Mariah.

Coach Taryn Love is in her seventh year as an assistant coach for the Minot High Girl's hockey team. She graduated from Minot High School where she played hockey and soccer for the Magicians. Coach Love received All-West Region Honors for hockey and soccer her sophomore-senior year and was an All-State selection for hockey and soccer her junior and senior years, she was also the recipient of the ND Senior Athlete of the Year for soccer. Coach Love went on to play soccer at Minot State University. While on the team the MSU soccer team made it to the NCAA national tournament 3 years in a row and were also conference champs her sophomore year. While growing up in Minot, she has coached youth soccer, hockey, and cross country. Coach Love currently teaches third grade at Edison Elementary.
