general AP exam info, including free-response question rubrics
Please look for emails from collegeboard@e.collegeboard.org and update your cell phone number in your College Board account. More info will be forthcoming, and I don't want you to miss it.
Email Address: If any students want to update their email address they can go into their College Board account at myap.collegeboard.org by clicking on their profile at the top right-hand corner of the page, and going to Account Settings. Students should scroll down to verify their information and confirm that their email address is the one to which they'd like to receive the e-ticket to take their AP Exams. If it's not the correct email, they can update it to an email they check regularly by clicking Update.
The AP Environmental Science Course and Exam Description (.pdf/9.89 MB) has been updated to reflect all available resources for AP Environmental Science teachers and students.

Exam Access: Students will need access to their email or College Board account to take the 2020 AP Exams. Remind them to check the email address they used to create their account on myap.collegeboard.org; students should regularly check this email address for the most recent information about their AP Exams. In addition, they should plan on logging into their exam about 30 minutes before the exam is scheduled to start.
New! As of 2020, calculators (four-function with square root, scientific or graphing) are allowed for the AP Environmental Science Exam. See the AP exam calculator policy for full details and examples of acceptable and nonacceptable calculators.
Attend AP online classes and review sessions for prep week. During the final days before exams, classes will focus on simulating the exam experience and reviewing sample exam questions.
Practice submissions through the exam demo. Educators and students will have access to a demo of the exam experience. It will allow students to click through to practice the different ways to submit their responses. The demo will be generic across subjects, and not a practice exam.
See the 2020 AP Testing Guide (.pdf/10.37 MB) and watch the overview video. The comprehensive guide will walk through exam preparation, and the video gives a high-level overview of this year's exams.

Note: after the time for the question runs out you'll have 5 minutes to upload your response. Using any of that last 5 minutes to continue answering the question risks running out of time to upload your answer, so plan accordingly!
The required and recommended resource list lets you know what resources you can use during your exams and how you can access them. New videos are available to give students quick, easily accessible information about their test day experience, what they need to do to prepare, exam security, and more. Explore the playlist.
Two days before each exam, students will receive an email with their unique exam e-ticket that includes their AP ID. If you can't connect to this demo from your planned testing device, you will not be able to access the real exam on test day. Update your browser (see tips on slide 51 of the 2020 AP Testing guide below). Then try again. If you still can't access the Demo, contact your AP coordinator, Mr. Bowles at cbowles@mtlsd.net for assistance.
On exam day, students will use their e-ticket to access the exam. If a student hasn't received their exam e-ticket by email, they can access it through their student account on My AP. E-tickets are nontransferable and shouldn't be shared with anyone. Students who haven't been receiving College Board emails still have time to confirm their contact information.
Complete this 2020 AP Exam Day Checklist (.pdf/526 KB) for each exam you take and keep it next to you while testing.
Remind students to click their e-ticket to check in 30 minutes before exam start time. Students should allot 80 minutes for each exam—30 minutes to enter their AP ID, name, and other information, and 50 minutes to draft and submit their responses.
If a student accidentally closes the browser, their device crashes, or they temporarily lose internet access, they can quickly click their exam e-ticket again to return to the exam. They should continue the exam, and if they feel at the end of the exam that the temporary disruption negatively impacted their performance, they can request approval to take the makeup exam at cb.org/requestmakeup. Students can also request a makeup exam if they've lost too much time due to a technical problem, can't connect to their exam, or experienced some other serious disruption.
