By the end of the semester, students will be able to:

1. Function in the classroom

1.2. Understand and ask simple, straightforward questions necessary for classroom success (What is the homework?, The test is tomorrow., etc..)

1.3. Understand and ask simple, straightforward questions necessary for communicative success (could you repeat that?, what does x mean? etc)

2. Engage in simple conversation on concrete, personal topics in present/general truth time frame (Live conversation either face-to-face or via live texting/social media)

2.1 Topic: Greetings

2.1.1 Greet and introduce yourself formally and informally to people you meet -interpersonal

2.1.2 Understand short written introductions -interpretive
