21st Century Citizens
Here at Greely Middle School, our goal is to "create leaders and global citizens prepared to thrive in the changing world". Throughout the year I will recognize students that humbly exhibit 21st century skills. These skills include critical thinking, creativity, citizenship, communication, and collaboration. A short summary of the nominated "21st Century Citizen" will be in the classroom. The parents/guardians of the nominated students will be informed. Students are encouraged to nominate their peers as well. Beyond recognition, there is no reward for being nominated. It is my way of thanking the students for being positive role models and influences. My goal is for students to become intrinsically motivated to be the best possible version of themselves even when nobody's looking.
