Beadle Middle School
Mrs. Meyers ~ Ms. Robertson ~ Mr. Crawford
1. Be on time. Students will have three minutes to get to the gym from your previous class. Students will be recorded as TARDY when they are not on their attendance spot when the teacher is taking attendance.
.
2. Hand sanitizer is available for students to use when entering and leaving the gym.
.
3. Required gear: Studnts are required to wear athletic shoes for physical education. Athletic shoes do not include sandals,
slip on shoes like Vans or Hey Dudes. Athletic slip on shoes with support are OK.
Students are encouraged to wear clothing they are able to move in everyday for physical education.
Water bottles will be permitted in class. Students should write their name on their personal items. A lost and found area will be located in the Fitness Center.
4. Each class is worth 10 points. At the end of the hexter, students will be given a grade that will reflect how many points they earned out of the total points. For example, if at the end of the hexter we have had 15 classes, the total points that hexter would be 150, since each day is worth 10 points. If students earned 140 points out of 150, then their grade would be a 93%, which is a “1” or an “A”.
5. Students will not lose points for medical illness. A parent note excuses the student from activity for only the date(s) specified. No make-up work will be required. Extended medical leave will be addressed on an individual basis.
● If a student “observes” or cannot participate for three consecutive class sessions, a doctor’s note will be needed. Taking into consideration that we have three unique high school schedules, three days was believed to best meet consistency.
● If a student returns to class after an illness/injury and the doctor’s note states “Limited Activity”, the physical education teacher has legitimate reason to call the parent to ask for specifics or a clearly defined definition of “Limited Activity”.
The following list describes reasons for students to lose points:
10 points Insubordination (talking back, arguing, or being disrespectful)
5-10 points Not giving effort in class
