About Mrs. Housenga:
I have been teaching at Minneapolis Washburn High School since the fall of 2008. I have taught Biology, Environmental Foundations, Forensics, and starting in 2012 IB Environmental Systems and Societies. I attended Hope College in Holland, Michigan and Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. I have also earned my Masters in Science Education from Montana State University. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and hanging out outside. In addition to teaching science in a classroom setting, I have also been involved in informal science education at the Science Museum of Minnesota and the Minnesota Zoo.
