We will respect each other

• • We will balance “speak” time

    • • Everyone will have the time they need to speak

      • Everyone will be given the chance to speak

      • There will be a balance of time that allows for discussions

  • We will disagree respectfully

  • We will be open to listening and providing feedback

  • We will be open to all opinions (with the exception of those that are dehumanizing), without trying to persuade

  • We will speak up when an opinion is stated that is hurtful

We will maximize our time together

• • We will have clear expectations

  • We will stay on task

  • We will keep our conversations connected to clearly stated outcomes/goals/objectives

  • We will come prepared, having done any background work ahead of time. Any materials CAC members may need ahead of meetings to maximize time together will be provided in advance

We will stay true to the purpose of the committee’s work

• • We will work to ensure we represent multiple grades and voices, including those not present

  • We will be intentional about addressing equity, diversity, and inclusivity

  • We will be transparent in the work we do.  This means we will be open, honest, and clear about actions or decisions. There will not be hidden agendas.

  • We will maintain a broad focus with the big picture in mind
