Unit 1: Matter and Measurement
Chapters in Book: Chp 1-3.6
Students will be able to:
Identify physical and chemical properties and changes (including intensive, extensive, qualitative and quantitative). Also how to separate a mixture based on these properties. Define and classify matter in terms of differences between atom, element, compound, mixture, pure substance, and molecule (including particle diagrams, states of matter, and kinetic molecular theory)
Use significant figures correctly in measurements and calculations and perform unit conversions within the metric system and between systems.
